About The Course

This short course is designed to let divers experience technical diving in confined water.

Curious about technical (tec) diving, but not sure about jumping into a course? Discover Tec is a short confined water experience that allows you to give technical diving a try. You get to wear all the extra tec diving gear and take it for a test dive. Your PADI Tec Instructor may introduce a few basic skills, such as primary to secondary regulator switch and gas shutdown procedures.

What You Will Learn

Our PADI Tec Instructor will explain the equipment you'll use and go over basic tec diving procedures, such as the importance of diving in teams. You'll get in the water, make gear adjustments, then simply explore and get a feel for the equipment.

Prerequisites

To try Discover Technical diving, you must meet these qualifications:

• PADI Open Water Diver
• Minimum of 10 logged dives
• 15 years old

Medical Requirements

Scuba diving requires a minimum level of health and fitness. Chronic health conditions, certain medications and/or recent surgery may require you to get written approval from a physician before diving.

Avoid disappointment, download and review the Diver Medical form to ensure you won’t need a physician’s approval to dive before enrolling in a scuba course. Instructors, divemasters and dive shop staff are not physicians and should not be asked for medical advice; only medical professionals can give medical clearance to dive.?

The Scuba Gear You Will Use

We will provide all your core scuba diving equipment during your course including:

• Mask & Snorkel
• Buoyancy Device (Wing)
• Technical Regulator Setup.
• Scuba Cylinder
• Weight System & Weights
• Scuba Diving Computer
• Scuba Diving Fins
• Dry Suit & Under suit (If Required)

During your course, we will include rental of all of the above core dive gear items only. You will be required to collect your core dive gear prior to the open water training dives from us.
